Handle Your Load With Ease

ForkGrip

Are you tired of having to climb into your truck and move boxes, then get back out of your truck and lift them with your forklift? Loading and unloading a truck is already the most perilous part of a trucker’s job. Luckily, technologies like the forklift have been developed in order to make that part of the trucker’s job even easier. But when the tips of the forks don’t reach the boxes, you’re back to square one.

That’s where ForkGrips come in. One of those inventions you swear you should have thought about, ForkGrips are pads that slip on the end of forklift prongs in order to pull boxes closer to you without having to get into the back of the truck. The ForkGrips are “incredibly useful,” as they can be used with many types of trucks, such as flat-bed trucks, box trucks, pick-up trucks, and the like.

Simple to use, ForkGrips are similarly easy to install. The devices come with straps, so slipping onto the end of the forks and securing them with the straps is not a difficult task.  Using fork grips is much easier than using a chain, and is obviously easier than climbing into the truck and possibly breaking your back.

After securing the ForkGrips, running into a situation where the material to be unloaded is not quite close enough to the forks is no problem. All a trucker has to do is drive the forks under the box, and then lift the load slightly. The ForkGrips will ease the load onto the forks, making a safe and easy transfer, and a better way to unload a truck.

Of course, some truckers may worry about damage to the truck, material to be unloaded, or ForkGrips when using the product. Of course, truckers’ work for their clients, and delivering a faulty load is just as bad as delivering no load at all or making a late delivery. Similarly, both truckers employed by an agency and owner operators worry greatly about damaging their trucks. A damaged truck can lead to hundreds and thousands in repairs for either group, and the stern eyes of fleet owners for the employee. But ForkGrips unique design makes damaging either the material or the truck virtually impossible. In fact, ForkGrips actually prevent trucks from becoming damaged due to accidentally dropped loads. Not only has the truck and the product remained safe, but also the truck driver has escaped back injury. The ForkGrips, too, have managed to make it out of the transaction whole, although the manufacturers recommend removing the tools to prevent accidentally loosing them or damaging them when not in use. Made out of sturdy material, however, the ForkGrips are not likely to break during routine use.

A useful tool that can save backs and attitudes, ForkGrips are less than $70and can be purchased online. Because of their extreme usefulness,  ForkGrips recommends keeping a pair hanging in the cab or trailer for easy use and to prevent loss. For truckers who want the convenience and safety of removing items using forklifts no matter how far they are from the prongs, ForkGrips is an excellent and rather inexpensive solution.
